“We've stayed at four different places in Hanalei over the last few years and this one was our favorite. We loved the porch, which made even rainy days relaxing! We ate meals outside on the dining table and spent hours reading out on the outdoor couch. Loved having the yard, lounge chairs and outdoor shower. Less than 5 minute walk to beach and about 15 minute walk to all the shops and restaurants you need. We hope to stay here again!”

“Palaka Cottage is our heaven on earth. We have stayed here twice, extending it much longer the second time. We love the authentic Hawaiian feel of the plantation cottage. It feels like a home away from home with all the amenities you need. The decor is relaxing, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked to cook your meals. The outdoor shower is great after a sandy day at the beach, and the lanai is a perfect spot to unwind. The location is unbeatable since it is right across the street from the most beautiful beach in the world, and close to Hanalei town. “My wife and I recently spent three nights at the Palaka Cottage on our first visit to the Hanalei area. It is about as in town as you can get, and the location on Weke Road is one street off the bay. We enjoyed the view of the bay from the front lanai in the morning & evening. It is a short drive to the restaurants along Kuhio Hwy, a little further to the area beaches & hiking trails. It has everything you need, including a full kitchen, washer and dryer, cable TV and wireless internet. Joanne was a pleasure to work with and answered all of our questions. If you are looking for an alternative to the big resort experience, this is the place for you.”
